About us

Hi, we are Gonzalo and Paola, and we are from Ecuador, a small country with an immense biodiversity. As siblings, we are almost polar opposites :) but there is one thing that certainly unites us...our passion for good food and innovation.

After years of studies and experiences abroad, we came back with the firm belief that there is something special in the products of our land. We wanted to create something unique and delicious, where the best local ingredients are the protagonists. This is how KELAO was born, a specialty coconut-based ice cream, 100% vegan, made to share with everyone a piece of the best of Ecuador.
